Litigation Counsel
Geneva Gnam serves as litigation counsel for the Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit (HIWU), where her key responsibility is to prosecute violations of the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority’s Anti-Doping and Medication Control Program. Outside of her professional commitments to HIWU, she is an equestrian and avid horse lover.
Previously Gnam was an associate attorney at the national litigation firm Kiernan Trebach, LLP. Her resume boasts substantial trial experience, having undertaken a multitude of jury and bench trials. She also served as an assistant commonwealth’s attorney for eight years where she prosecuted violent and complex crimes such as homicide, sexual assault, abusive head trauma and crimes against children.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in government from the College of William & Mary, Gnam earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law.
